Reviews

When someone booked you through Gigstarter, he or she will automatically receive a review-request after your performance. With the link in the e-mail the booker can leave a review on your profile. Reviews are very important for artists' Gigstarter ranking. How high you appear in the Gigstarter search results depends on the number of days since your last review, and the average grade bookers give you.

There are three ways to get reviews.

  1. If you get an inquiry or a call which turns into a (verified) booking. Read more about verifying your bookings. After the gig, Gigstarter will automatically send a review request to the booker.
  2. You can also send confirmations to booker that didn’t initially contact you via Gigstarter. In the dashboard, go to the Confirmations tab, and create a new confirmation. After a verified gig, we will ask the booker to write a review about your performance.
  3. As a PRO artist you can send up to three review requests to prior bookers. This is the fastest way to initially get a fair amount of reviews, which significantly improves your ranking.

As a PRO artist of Gigstarter, you can ask three former bookers for a review. This is possible for all the accounts you own. We advise PRO artist to use this offer, because reviews make for a trustworthy profile. This way potential bookers feel secure booking you. Besides this, you are easier to find on Gigstarter if you have reviews on your profile.

Technically you are not able to delete reviews. Gigstarter is an independent platform, to keep reviews reliable the artists are not able to delete the reviews. If you think that a former booker is writing a negative review on purpose, get in touch with the Gigstarter team by sending as an e-mail to info@gigstarter.co.uk. We will take care of the case by contacting the writer of the review.
