ITA: Arya è un gruppo musicale nato a Rimini nel 2015. Poco dopo l'esordio pubblicano il loro primo album autoprodotto (In Distant Oceans, 2015). Il loro secondo lavoro discografico, (Dreamwars, 2017) anch'esso prodotto e registrato dai membri del gruppo, è un concept album che tratta temi come l'alienazione e la competitività nella società contemporanea, la solitudine e il suicidio,
avvalendosi di rimandi all'interno dei testi che vanno dall'Ulisse dantesco a Ionesco, a testi di filosofia e antropologia.
Contestualmente al termine delle registrazioni di Dreamwars, la cantante Virginia Bertozzi ha lasciato gli Arya per motivi personali; al suo posto è subentrata Clara J. Pagliero, con cui il gruppo ha lavorato a un nuovo album ,a cui uscita è prevista per la primavera 2018. Negli ultimi anni gli Arya si sono esibiti in concerti e festival in Emilia Romagna, Marche, Abruzzo e Repubblica di San Marino, e hanno cercato di condividere la loro musica con il mondo sfruttando il più possibile internet e i social media. Mantengono un attivo canale Youtube per comunicare i loro progressi e provare a sostenere la scena musicale della loro città.
ENG:Arya (Italy) is an Italian band founded in 2015 by guitarists Luca Pasini and Simone Succi, bassist Namig Musayev, drummer Luca Sigovich and singer Virginia Bertozzi. They released their first self-produced and self-recorded album "In Distant Oceans" in late 2015, and started playing shows in their region. while promoting themselves, especially abroad, where progressive and metal-inspired music are more appreciated.
Their second record, called “Dreamwars” was released in May 2017. It's a concept album dealing with themes such as alienation and competitiveness in contemporary society, loneliness, incommunicability and suicide. During the recording process the band had to face a change of drummer, with Alessandro Crociati joining, and the personal issues of singer Virginia Bertozzi, which led to her departure from the band at the end of the album vocal tracking. The new singer and frontwoman of Arya is Clara J. Pagliero.
