Who will claim the coveted title and bring home the Crystal Microphone?

The most anticipated week of the year has begun, with the grand final of Eurovision 2023 set to take place this Saturday, May 13th. Following Ukraine's victory with Kalush Orchestra's captivating song "Stefania" in last year's 66th edition held in Turin, Italy, we now find ourselves in Liverpool, United Kingdom. With open arms, Liverpool has stepped in to host the contest after Ukraine's inability to do so, owing to Sam Rider's stellar performance representing the United Kingdom with the song "Space Man" securing a second-place finish.

The first semifinal of Eurovision 2023, held at the Liverpool Arena, was filled with excitement, spectacle, and surprises. After two hours of a dazzling show, the popular vote determined that 10 out of the 15 participating countries would advance to the grand final on Saturday. The countries that secured their spot in the final are Croatia, Moldova, Switzerland, Finland, Czech Republic, Israel, Portugal, Sweden, Serbia, and Norway.

Here we have a selection of countries and their songs, hoping to be in the final this Saturday:

Who will be the winner of the 2023 edition of the Eurovision song contest?

That's a difficult thing to predict because the tables can always turn at the last minute, but what we do know is that Sweden, which brings back Loreen, the winner of 2012 with "Euphoria," is the frontrunner to claim the Crystal Microphone in Liverpool. As reported by the Eurovision World platform, her song "Tattoo" has a 45% chance of victory, surpassing the songs from Finland (21%) and Ukraine (8%). The second position would go to Käärijä and their song "Cha Cha Cha," who, according to various betting houses, is the only one capable of challenging Loreen on her path to a second victory in Eurovision. Meanwhile, Ukraine has reclaimed the third position that was predicted by the odds weeks ago, pushing France out of the Top 3. However, the Ukrainian entry, once considered one of the top favorites, has started to lose momentum, currently having only an 8% chance of winning. These would be the Eurovision results if the forecasts of the main polling companies were to come true:

  1. Sweden - "Tattoo" by Loreen
  2. Finland - "Cha Cha Cha" by Käärijä
  3. Ukraine - "Heart of Steel" by Tvorchi
  4. France - "Évidemment" by La Zarra
  5. Spain - "Eaea" by Blanca Paloma
  6. Israel - "Unicorn" by Noa Kirel
  7. Norway - "Queen of Kings" by Alessandra
  8. United Kingdom - "I Wrote A Song" by Mae Muller
  9. Italy - "Due vite" by Marco Mengoni
  10. Austria - "Who The Hell is Edgar" by Teya & Salena

The list goes on, with each country offering its unique flavor and style to the Eurovision stage. As the grand final approaches, the excitement builds, and fans from around the world prepare for an unforgettable evening of music, unity, and celebration.

Who will emerge victorious in Eurovision 2023? The answer remains uncertain, as the competition is fierce and surprises are always in store. One thing is for sure: the grand final in Liverpool will be a night to remember, where the power of music unites nations and transcends borders. Get ready for an evening filled with memorable performances, electrifying moments, and the crowning of the next Eurovision champion.
