Sin dalla prima formazione fino alla line-up attuale il marchio di fabbrica dei The Merry Pranksters è sempre stato lo stesso: andare oltre i limiti e le convenzioni musicali classiche e tradizionali. La loro musica attinge dagli anni d'oro del Rock'N'Roll 50's e 60's, il periodo più bello ed irripetibile della storia della musica rock. Non solo i grandi classici ma anche brani poco conosciuti che vengono completamente reinterpretati, stravolti e velocizzati in uno stile che è stato battezzato come Retro Vintage Punk Rock e che rende uniche le canzoni che reinterpretano! Uno stile originale, un mash up di opposti che si attraggono, suoni e melodie dell'epoca del vinile rivisitate in chiave punk rock, il tutto condito da una nota di sax che aggiunge alla miscela già esplosiva un tocco di eleganza e molto old-rock...il risultato è un cocktail perfettamente mischiato e shakerato, che i The Merry Pranksters servono facendo girare la testa e scatenando balli sfrenati, grazie ad un impatto divertente, diretto, frizzante e sopratutto coinvolgente.
