L'ispirazione per questi cinque musicisti bolognesi nasce da uno dei brani più celebri di Django Reinhardt, Minor Swing.
Spinti dall'amore per il gipsy jazz, ma desiderosi di creare un loro proprio sound ibrido, decidono di riprendere i brani della tradizione manouche e provare a renderli loro, a contestualizzarli nella loro Bologna degli anni 2000.
L'eterogeneità della band, che accomuna percorsi musicali differenti (dal rock al soul, dalla world music alla musica classica), è la chiave di volta per il processo di modernizzazione del genere.
Il risultato infatti è una miscela esplosiva a base di rispetto per i grandi solisti del passato, con l'aggiunta di idee e arrangiamenti freschi e coraggiosi.
Ascolterete standard propri della tradizione jazzistica e manouche, ma anche composizioni originali, dove si intuisce il desiderio di attualizzare la proposta musicale e di fondere tutte le conoscenze in gioco per plasmare una nuova idea musicale.
