Confirmations

A confirmation can be seen as the final step in the booking process. You summarize all the arrangements so that there is no room for confusion about the details of the performance. Information that you include in the confirmation mainly consists of the date of the event; the address of the performance; the number of members of the band and which equipment is on site.

An artist sends a confirmation to a booker. The booker will be notified by email and will be asked to accept the confirmation. Once the booker accepts your confirmation, the booking is final. Both parties will receive a confirmation by email when the booker accepts a confirmation. Gigstarter helps remind you as an artist of confirmed performances. After a performance, Gigstarter automatically asks the booker for a review of the show that is going to appear on your profile.

Please Note: Creating confirmations plays an essential role in your ranking in the search engine. No confirmation results in no review, which does not bring you higher in our search engine and won’t expose you to potential new bookers.

You can send a booking confirmation to your bookers via Gigstarter. In your dashboard, click on “Confirmations”. Then click on the button “+ Create a new confirmation”. Fill in the information about the gig, including contact details of the booker and event details. Proceed to the next step, where you’ll verify and confirm all details.

When you send your confirmation, the booker will receive a notification by email. The booker is asked to verify your confirmation. A gig is only definitive according to Gigstarter when the booker has verified your confirmation.

In the offer request and call screen you have the possibility to create a confirmation. The advantage of creating a confirmation through these pages is that known information is already filled in, including certain contact details of the booker.

Agreement on paper

If you have an agreement with the booker and all the details are discussed, it's good to have a clear overview of all the information from the event. The confirmation on Gigstarter is the perfect overview for you and the booker.

Receiving review

When sending a confirmation through Gigstarter, the day after the gig an email is send to the booker with a request to write an evaluation about you. This way you will accumulate reviews about your performance. It is very important that the bookers accept the confirmation before the gig because otherwise they will not receive the invitation to write an evaluation.

Rise of the ranking

With reviews you get higher on the ranking on Gigstarter and you increase your chance to get more booking requests. The amount of reviews, the rating and the date of the review all influence your position on the ranking of Gigstarter.
